Battlefields to Ballfields
B2B provides scholarships to Veterans who return from defending our country with an opportunity to get integrated back into their community through officiating. In serving in the military, and in officiating, there’s the common bond of being a member of a team and creating order out of chaos. Battlefields to Ballfields is providing Veterans with an opportunity to hone their newfound officiating skills and participate in something that will give them a new sense of self-worth along with the ability to make some extra income.
Blue Star Mothers of America NY Chapter 8
The Blue Star Mothers of America is a Congressionally-chartered, non-partisan, not-for-profit organization formed for the purpose of supporting America's military, Veterans, and their families, and to foster patriotism. We are moms in and around the Rochester, NY area who now have or have had sons and daughters honorably serving in the United States military.

DAV: Disabled American Veterans
DAV is dedicated to a single purpose: empowering Veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. We accomplish this by ensuring that Veterans and their families can access the full range of benefits available to them; fighting for the interests of America’s injured heroes on Capitol Hill; and educating the public about the great sacrifices and needs of Veterans transitioning back to civilian life.
Eagle Star
Eagle Star Housing is a not-for-profit organization that provides Veterans a supportive place to live while they regain independence and self-sufficiency. We are committed to ensuring all Veterans have a safe place to sleep at night, while maintaining a long-term goal of assisting each Veteran in their successful search for stable and affordable housing. Eagle Star Housing provides quality Transitional Housing Programs as well as Permanent Supportive Apartment Programs.
EquiCenter
EquiCenter, Inc. at William and Mildred Levine Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that sits on a beautiful 200-acre property in Honeoye Falls, NY. EquiCenter offers a variety of programs to Veterans and seeks to create a welcoming community for individuals to achieve relief from some of their wounds, both seen and unseen.
Lap Robes for Veterans
Lap Robes for Veterans is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that creates and donates lap robes to Veterans as a thank you for their service. What started out as one lap robe at a time has grown to the production of thousands of lap robes due to the interest and support of volunteers and community donations. So many Veterans, sew little time!

One Soldier at a Time
“One Soldier At A Time” is a project to support our hidden heroes. These are the women and men you don’t hear much about. While their soldier is off protecting our country they are holding down the fort here at home. One Soldier at a Time also provides Hygiene Packages of Hope to Veterans who are homeless, impoverished, or living at VA hospitals.

Vet Center
We offer confidential help for Veterans, service members, and their families at no cost in a non-medical setting. Our services include counseling for needs such as depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and the psychological effects of military sexual trauma (MST). We can also connect you with more support in VA and your community. You may be eligible for Vet Center services no matter your discharge status or eligibility for VA health care. And we encourage you to contact us, even if you’re not sure if you’re eligible. If we can’t help you, we’ll find someone who can.
Veterans Connect
Veterans Connect is a Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce program that focuses on linking transitioning service members to employment, housing, and related services in greater Rochester. This is accomplished through a sustained effort that emphasizes employer engagement connectivity, relocation support, and family assistance.
Veterans One-stop Center
We connect, educate and collaborate so Veterans can achieve economic success, housing stability and emotional health and wellbeing by offering a wide holistic range of social and health services, including services needed to complete transition from military to civilian life. We provide barrier-free access in the comfort of a "home base" environment that is always welcoming, affirming and responsive to the needs of Veterans and their families. Any Veteran, regardless of status, is eligible for our services.
Veterans Outreach Center
Started in 1973 by service members returning from Vietnam, Veterans Outreach Center has been a critical resource for those who have worn our nation's uniform. VOC is a homeless shelter, employment and job training center, a food bank, a clothing boutique, a fitness center, and so much more. All services are provided at no cost to veterans. Veterans Upward Bound
Veterans Upward Bound (VUB) is a free service that prepares Veterans & military Service Members to enter any educational program of their choice, from certificates all the way up to bachelor degrees. VUB aids in the college admissions process, including applying and understanding financial aid benefits, providing refresher courses, one-on-one tutoring, laptop loans, and connecting to local resources.
Warrior Salute Veteran Services
Warrior Salute Veteran Services offers all-inclusive, supportive housing services for Veterans at our Nucor House. Our program is aimed at providing a strong, supportive community to help Veterans reach their personal therapeutic, social, educational and community goals. Transitional housing is open at no cost to male Veterans who demonstrate the desire and motivation to benefit from all services we offer.
