CompeerCORPS offers opportunities for Veterans to engage, network, and form friendships with other Veterans. CompeerCORPS offers adaptive sports including archery, biking, kayaking, ice skating, sailing, skiing, and snowboarding.
EquiCenter offers free adaptive activities for Veterans, from riding horses, working on raised beds in the farm, cooking classes, and much more on our 200 acre campus.
The National Disabled Veterans Golf Clinic (NDVGC) is a week-long adaptive golf program that is presented by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and DAV (Disabled American Veterans).
Our organization runs a variety of wheelchair and adaptive sports for youth, adults, and Veterans: wheelchair lacrosse, stand-up adaptive lacrosse, adaptive curling, adaptive cycling, wheelchair football, wheelchair tennis, and more. GBAS is home to the Buffalo Wheelchair Football Team and the Buffalo Bandits Wheelchair Lacrosse teams.
Rochester Accessible Adventures maintains a resource guide of accessible recreation, sports, and tourism opportunities. The list includes birding, basketball, fencing, lacrosse, pickleball, rugby, rock climbing, sled hockey, tennis, and more! These programs are not Veteran specific, but are a lot of fun.
At Rochester Community Inclusive Rowing (RCiR), our mission is to create a supportive, inclusive and fully accessible environment for Veterans and people with any challenge who want to come to the water and learn to row, at NO COST to them.

The National Veterans Wheelchair Games is the world’s largest annual wheelchair sports and rehabilitation event solely for military Veterans. The event demonstrates the unstoppable character of Veterans and seeks to foster wider respect and opportunities for all people with disabilities.
